What is combination therapy?

Combination therapy is the term applied when more than one therapy is used to combat a patient’s disease. Historically, combination therapy was used to refer to the use of chemotherapy and radiotherapy for the treatment of cancer. Now, with the adoption of immunotherapies into the medical armamentarium, immunotherapy has found its place as a workhorse in many therapy duos (or trios).
